Ive got home videos on DVDs want to cut n copy sections out any advice on software (free?!) that'd do the job? For a Mac 😃

You could also download a trial copy of Adobe Premiere and do the editing in the 30 days free trial.

Erm didn't actually try iMovie or anything else thought I'd ask first! 😔

Like cookie suggested, iMovie is pretty hard to beat as a free option.

oh why are things never easy! Smiley Sad whatever format the discs are in theyre not being picked by my mac or else ext cd drive. sighs....

Hi you can use a program like Handbrake to convert the format on the disc to one that iMovie will play nice with.

for some reason its not regestering that the disc is even in the drive...

poped in a cd and it worked perfectly.

discs work in blueray player...
