Getting old number back when on UK number

Anonymous
Hi there, I just got a pay as you go SIM and was told to go to "keepmynumber " to get my old number back. When I fill this out it sends a password to the old number, which I no longer have.
Can you advise how I should go about this?

Hi @Anonymous you would need to have access to this number in order for Three to port it in due to data protection. It would also need to be an irish mobile number. You can try getting a sim replacement from your old carrier and then port in.

Hi David, the old carrier was O2. Can I not get a replacement SIM from 3?

Hi

You most certainly can but they would still need to verify the number by sending it an sms or calling it when porting it in so best off getting that sim replacement done - do you have access to a 3 store near you?

Just a quick note for a sim replacement be sure you bring photo ID with you to the store.

Hi @Anonymous, the password is sent to verify that you're the owner of both SIMs. If you send me a PM with your details, I can ask you some questions to verify the details instead and we can submit the request manually.
