Being Charged for Data despite not being connected

Over the last few days I have been charged over €25 for data usage despite being connected to wifi and having mobile data switched off. On my phone's own records it shows I've had no data usage in the period of time stated in the 3Alert text messages. All apps I have, have never used data as background apps before, and background apps are switched off on my phone, so it is unlikely they are the cause.

 

Is there any reason for these error occurring? If it's on 3's side can this credit be reimbursed.

Those texts are for the time you did use data when your plan expired. Very annoying but at some stage when your plan expired initially the data was on and charged
