3 throttling 4g speeds

Hi is there any chance of three stopping the throttling pf 4g speeds in the evening. I live in Cranford, donegal and can get 35 meg during the and am lucky to get 1meg after 6. This been going on for months you can literally set your watch by it. Please no nonsense about traffic this happens every day Mon to Sunday. Please stop throttling the speeds.

Hi Kevinffinnegan,

It sounds like it could be congestion that's causing this if it's happening every evening. If there's a lot of people trying to get on to the network at the same time it can slow down the connection. Are you using mobile data or broadband?

Re: 3 throttling 4g speeds

Using mobile data. Yeah sorry don't buy into the whole traffic line. It
happens every nite mon/ Sun at same time like clockwork. For months all
over chtistmas/ weekend's same throttling of speeds by three.

Do you know if anyone else is affected by this in the Cranford area?

Re: 3 throttling 4g speeds

I assume everyone using three 4g mobile data. We have three users at my
home some and it happens to each account each nite.

Can you send me on your number, address and date of birth in a PM and I'll look into this for you?

I have the same problem in rural Tipperary- every day - every evening.

Daytime 4G speeds in excess of 25Mbps

Evening 4G speeds barely and often less than 1Mbps

The reason that I switched to Three.ie was for the promised 4G speeds but that's not what I am getting Smiley Sad

I will have no option other than to switch back to Eir/Meteor if this can't be resolved.

@Vince_C Evening time is a typical peak time for Broadband use and that can impact speeds. Are you just noticing the speeds drop, does your service remain connected? Have you restarted your modem when you notice this happening and does that help? Also, let me know if you're  using a router or a dongle?

The normal scenario is reasonable 4G speeds (anywhere between 10 to 25
Mbps) in the morning until evening time when speeds are often below 1Mbps.

Rebooting the router HUAWEI B525s-23a Router does not make any difference
when the speed drops.

Last weekend I experienced - for the first time - the service cutting in
and out. In this instance, rebooting the router did not prevent further
disconnections.

I hope that this helps?

The package that I signed up for was for unlimited 4G but I am simply not
getting a 4G service for a significant part of each and every day.
