Make Calls Or Send Texts Or Send MMS

 

Make Call

 

Dial manually.

Tap Keypad, enter the number, then tap Call.

 

Contacts.

Tap Phone, Tap Contacts to call a saved number. Just tap the contacts name and then tap call icon beside the number you want to call.

 

Send Text

 

  • On the homescreen, tap the Messaging icon.
  • Tap New message at the bottom.
  • To enter contacts, you can:
    • enter a phone number in the To field. If you want to add more than one number, tap the + icon after each number.
    • enter the first few letters of the contact you want and tap on the correct name or number that appears.
  • Tap Type message and write your message.
  • Tap the Send icon. Your message will now have been sent.

 

Send MMS

 

  • On the homescreen, tap the Messaging icon.
  • Tap New message at the bottom.
  • To enter contacts, you can:
    • enter a phone number in the To field. If you want to add more than one number, tap the + icon after each number.
    • enter the first few letters of the contact you want and tap on the correct name or number that appears.
  • Tap Type message and write your message.
  • Choose whether you want to send a picture, video or audio message by tapping the + icon.
  • You might be asked where to get your photos from. Your photos will be saved in Gallery.
  • Tap the Send icon. Your message will now have been sent.

 

Add my Internet Settings

 

  1. From the homescreen, tap and hold the notification bar at the top and slide your finger down.
  2. Make sure that Mobile data is highlighted.

To check your Internet Settings

 

  • On the homescreen, swipe to the left to reveal more icons. Tap Settings.
  • Tap More.
  • Tap Mobile network.
  • Tap Access Point Names.
  • Tap 3 and make sure the settings are:
    • Name: 3
    • APN: 3ireland.ie
    • Username: None
    • Password: None
    • APN type: Default
  • If you can't see 3, tap Menu then New APN and enter the details above. Your phone has now been set up to Internet.

 

Turning 4G On or Off

 

  1. On the homescreen, swipe to the left to reveal more icons. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap More.
  3. Tap Mobile network.
  4. Tap Preferred network type.
  5. If you want to use 4G, make sure 4G/3G/2G auto is enabled. If you just want to connect to our 3G network, make sure 3G/2G auto is enabled.

Add my Email Settings

 

To set up an email account:

 

  1. On the homescreen, swipe left to reveal more icons. Tap Email.
  2. Choose the type of email account you want to set up. Most personal email accounts will work with Others.
  3. Enter the email address and password of your email account, tap Next.
  4. If your email settings don't exist on the phone, you'll be asked for some extra information.
  5. You'll be asked how often you want your phone to check for email. Depending on your email provider, you might be able to sync your phone contacts and calendar with your account. Tap NextYour phone has now been set up to receive emails.

 

Pair a Bluetooth Device

 

  1. Swipe Left.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Wireless & Networks.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
  5. Select the Bluetooth you want to connect to.

 

Connect to WiFi

 

  1. From the homescreen, tap and hold the notification bar at the top and slide your finger down
  2. Tap Wi-Fi to switch it on.
  3. Tap and hold on the Wi-Fi icon to see available networks. Tap on the network you want to connect to.
  4. Enter the wireless password and tap Connect. You are now connected to the Wi-Fi network.

 

Setting Up a SIM PIN

 

You can protect your SIM card by setting up a PIN. Here's how:

 

  1. On the homescreen, swipe to the left to reveal more icons. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Advance settings.
  3. Tap Security.
  4. Tap Set up SIM card lock.
  5. Switch Lock SIM card on.
  6. Enter your PIN. If you haven't changed your PIN before, it'll be 0000. Tap OK.
  7. To change the SIM PIN, tap Change SIM PIN and follow the onscreen instructions.Your PIN will now be set up on your phone.

 

Unlock Phone

 

Click here to request the unlock code.

 

Once you have received the code you will be able to unlock your phone.

 

  1.  Enter a SIM card from another network in to the phone.
  2. Enter the PIN for the SIM Card if you are asked.
  3. You will be prompted to enter the unlock code.
  4. Enter the unlock code and restart the phone to complete the unlock process.
