On Tuesday Apple announced two new special editions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Apple designed these two new phones in red to highlight 10 years of working with the Product Red initiative, a HIV and AIDS fundraising campaign. Apple will be donating some of the proceeds from sales of the device towards the campaign.

Both red iPhones will be coming to Three soon – stay tuned!

Samsung Bixby

Samsung has announced Bixby, its AI voice assistant that will be the new intelligent interface on their devices.

Samsung has described Bixby as ‘fundamentally different from other voice agents or assistants in the market’, as it offers a ‘deeper experience’ in ‘completeness, context awareness and cognitive tolerance’. Once an application is ‘Bixby-enabled’, Bixby will be able to support almost every task within the majority of apps, making it a total voice control experience. Users will be able to call on Bixby anytime, and Samsung has said Bixby will be intelligent enough to understand even incomplete commands – allowing users to use more natural language.

Samsung bought Viv last year, the AI developers who brought us Siri for Apple. Samsung has said they will be integrating Viv technology into Bixby at a later stage providing an even more enhanced AI experience for users. Check out more about Viv here.

Super Mario Run now available on Android4344.JPG

If you’re a fan of Super Mario (and who isn’t?!), you’ll be delighted to learn that Nintendo have released Super Mario Run on Android a day earlier than planned. This will be welcome news to Android users, who have been waiting since the iOS version was released last year.

Like the Apple version, the game is a free download with certain levels included, and offers an in-app purchase to access the full game. Android users can download it on the Google Play Store.
