The Poetry App (App Store: Free)

This app is created by the Josephine Hart Poetry Foundation, so you know it’s going to be good. The design is very interactive and nicely laid out. The main reason this app stands out from the rest is the video and audio narration from many well-known actors and performers.

This app provides a new poem a day taken from different publications; books, magazines etc. Its layout is a little plain but if you'd love a big resource of poetry at your fingertips it’s definitely the one for you.

Verses notebook + rhyming dictionary | rhyme book | book of rhymes (iTunes €1.99)

This app is a bit of mouthful and at €1.99 it’s really for the die-hard poets out there. It’s a handy app for when inspiration comes your way. You can document your notes and ideas for your poems on the go and review the rhyme book and other poem structure resources.

Happy #WorldPoetryDay!
