Don’t want to be disturbed by notification sounds on your phone during important situations, but still want to be aware when you have an important call or message? Switching on your LED light to flash when you receive a notification on your phone will mean losing the noise, without missing a text or call. This feature is also a handy way to notify those with hearing impairments of alerts on their phone.

How do I do this?

Follow these steps on your iPhone to turn on this feature:

  • Go to Settings and tap General.
  • Scroll down to Accessibility and select LED Flash for Notifications, toggle on.
  • Your phone will now flash from the light at the back when you receive a notification.
  • To stop this feature, just toggle off LED Flash for Notifications in Settings.

  • Go to Settings and tap on Accessibility.
  • Click into Hearing.
  • Select Flash Notification and turn it on.
  • Your phone is now set up to flash from the light on the back of your phone when you receive a notification.
  • To turn this off, just switch off Flash Notification.
