Samsung’s latest flagship phone has arrived. Last night, Samsung unveiled the fantastic Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the 2018 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona – pre-order the device now and receive the S9 or S9+ seven days early.
Samsung’s tagline for 2018 is ‘The Camera. Reimagined’, and it’s clear that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are all about the camera. One of the stand-out features of the S9 series is that the camera will slow down time with a new Super Slow Mo feature. You’ll be able to use Auto mode to activate Motion Detect, or use Manual mode and tap the Super Slow Mo button to capture each video segment. Most importantly, you can capture slow motion while keeping HD resolutions – 960 frames per second in 720p and 480 frames per second in 1080p.
As well as slow motion, the new smartphones will come with dual aperture. The new camera adapts like the human eye – capturing stunning pictures in bright daylight, moonlight and low light using its adjustable aperture.
Another super cool feature is the introduction of AR emojis. The device’s new camera can turn you into an emoji! You’ll be able to liven up your messages by creating a personalised AR emoji, allowing you to share up to 18 different reactions on social media or directly to friends.

The S9 and S9+ will also boost security by combining data from its iris and facial recognition systems. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Series will come equipped with a louder sound system and an improved performance on previous Samsung smartphones, using Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chip.
Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Series will have an edge-to-edge AMOLED Infinity Display, so you can immerse yourself in the screen and take advantage of amazing visibility even in direct sunlight.
