Introducing new pic.jpg

We’re very excited to announce the online exclusive for the Sony Xperia 5. Many of us have been eagerly awaiting this news and want to know more about Sony’s new flagship.  We’ve put this review together as a taster; feel free to add your own comments below 👌

What does it look like?

Sony has listened to the wider audience and designed this phone to lie somewhere between their Xperia X compact and the Xperia 1 resulting in this exciting design and sleek finish. Standing tall at 6.1 and with a slim rectangular frame, you can count on this design to be easy to hold. The screen has an incredible aspect ratio of 21:9 which is useful for many things including split screen navigation. The finishing touches to the Xperia 5, which is available in black, is the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back, for excellent durability and protection.

What’s on the inside?

Xperia 5 has Android 9.0 straight from the box. Keep an eye out for the latest software update, folks! Android 10 is coming   App launch and navigation are super- fast with the processing support of Snapdragon 855 and 6GB of RAM. The internal memory is ample enough for all the videos and photos you’re going to take 😊 However, if that isn’t enough I’m sure the 1TB of external memory will be!

What about the Camera?

Sony’s line here is “Three cameras, three lenses, endless possibilities”. The Xperia 5 has a triple 12MP camera system with three types of lens; 16mm super wide-angle lens, 26mm versatile lens and 52mm portrait and tele-lens. Isn’t this very impressive?

Let’s discuss the added technologies; get precision focus with Eye Autofocus taken from Sony Alpha cameras. Let’s mention the Autofocus and Auto Exposure too, with 10 frames per second you are bound to capture that perfect photo and of course, Optical SteadyShot for shake-free videos. It’s a win all round.

Some extras

Dolby Atmos, currently the best in its class in terms of sound, features on the Xperia 5. Be prepared for the ultimate cinematic experience coupled with the 21:9 Cinematic aspect ratio display and professional colour accuracy. Dolby Atmos works by analysing the audio source and transforming it into sound that flows above and around you. This takes music listening and enjoyment to the next level.

A quick shout out to mobile gamers to let you know that there is a game enhancer on the Xperia 5 that allows you to switch off settings so you can improve game performance and extend battery life. The other handy feature for you is that you can record your gameplay, face and commentary with voice changer ability all at the same time and upload everywhere you want.
