Three are delighted to announce that we are expanding our Samsung Galaxy A range with the introduction of Samsung Galaxy A40. This addition to the Galaxy A series is a compact phone at 5.9 inches but it does pack a punch.

The phone

Samsung’s design is simple yet stylish, the Galaxy A40 is compact and light, with curved corners. The display takes up the front of the phone with very little of the bezel to be seen. The simplicity of the design carries on to the back of the phone and is beautifully finished in 3D Glassic. Let’s not forget the small but mighty battery (3,100mAh) with fast charging capabilities.

The display

You can see absolutely every detail on this amazingly stylish Infinity-U display. The edge to edge screen is very impressive on this phone with FHD+ and Super AMOLED taking your viewing to the next level.  This should catch the interest of gamers 👍

The camera

For the compact dimension of the phone, the dual camera is quite remarkable. The front camera is  25MP (F2.0 aperture) and the rear one is 16MP (F1.7 aperture). Be prepared to be blown away by the 5MP Ultra Wide Camera with a 123-degree field of view. All these features and more help you take that perfect pic and to top all that off, the A40 has 19 modes to help you optimise any photo.

What’s new?

You can personalise your photos by using AR emoji mode. Create your own emoji, use an AR sticker and there’s a range of stamps and filters to play around with.

What’s surprising and unexpected is the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner used to unlock your phone.

You can order one of this and avail of €45 cashback directly from Samsung here
