@Jock_Scobbins sounds like it down to the number of people or the amount of GB being used by others. I know how annoying it can be, believe me as it happened to me a few times but I changed my APN and stick to 3g after 7pm which works for me. I also moved my router all over the place to get the best spot. How much data are you actually using do you know? I dunno, it's the limits of mobile broadband really like if you want to high speeds all the time then fibre is the product you should have not mobile.
Hi Kevinffinnegan,
It sounds like it could be congestion that's causing this if it's happening every evening. If there's a lot of people trying to get on to the network at the same time it can slow down the connection. Are you using mobile data or broadband?
Do you know if anyone else is affected by this in the Cranford area?
Can you send me on your number, address and date of birth in a PM and I'll look into this for you?
I have the same problem in rural Tipperary- every day - every evening.
Daytime 4G speeds in excess of 25Mbps
Evening 4G speeds barely and often less than 1Mbps
The reason that I switched to Three.ie was for the promised 4G speeds but that's not what I am getting
I will have no option other than to switch back to Eir/Meteor if this can't be resolved.

@Vince_C Evening time is a typical peak time for Broadband use and that can impact speeds. Are you just noticing the speeds drop, does your service remain connected? Have you restarted your modem when you notice this happening and does that help? Also, let me know if you're using a router or a dongle?
