Re: Internet Settings Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini - Internet Settings

Hi @tommyg2000

If you can connect using the sim to the internet on Three it means the settings are okay, have you tried using your phone in a built up area? (i.e another area) and if so was it any better?

also, try going to mobile networks and try manually select a three network instead of using the automatic feature. Three have quiet a few masts so you should see like

3

3.

3 (3G)

etc

Try selecting one of the other networks and see if 3G works for you... can you do this now and report back?

U say you see O2 ireland apns, is this an O2 SIM?

IF it is an O2 sim can you try these settings instead

name: o2 Ireland (this can be anything)
apn: internet
proxy: <not set>
port: <not set>
username: <not set>
Password: <not set>
Server: <not set>
mmsc: http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002
mms proxy: 62.40.32.40
mms port: 8080
mcc: 272
mnc: 02
authentication type: <not set>
apn type: <not set>

Dont worry, we will get it sorted.

Hi

Sorry to hear this. A three rep should be able to look in to this further once there on tomorrow. Have you tried using web chat or calling care on 1913 to speak with a tech support agent in regards to it? Have u also tried to select 3G ONLY in settings? To see if it will connect to a 3G mast

Hi Starz,

I've tried web chat, customer care phone number and I called into a shop
yesterday on Grafton Street in Dublin - none of them could fix it or knew
what to do - Customer care told me to mess around with the settings myself
with no suggestions - The shop couldnt do much -

How do you select 3G only in settings ?

A 3 rep whose good in this area would be appreciated if could help me

the networks I can see are exactly as follows (4 options)

1. 3

2. vodafone IE

3. Meteor

4. 3

Selecting either 1 or 4 does not improve my internet and it stays the exact same with no 3G or 4G. Only these options appear when searching networks
