Need the internet/MMS settings for your Android device? Look no further!

Here are the generic APN (Access Point Name) settings, which are normally found under Settings – Mobile Networks – Access Point Names.

Different phones may not require all of these, or they may be worded slightly differently. If you’re unable to edit the current settings, press the Menu key to add a new APN.

The settings are as follows:

Name: 3 Ireland

Proxy: not set

Port: not set

Username: not set

Password: not set

MMS Proxy:

MMS Port: 8799

MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0

MCC: 272

MNC: 05

APN Type: not set

Once they have been entered, back out to save them and restart your phone.

If you're having trouble, check out the screenshots below:

Hi,  I changed my APN settings to those yopu suggested.   I cannot choose WAP as my mms protocol so I left this blank.   Nearly there as I can see the 3 4G network when I do a network search and when I choose automatically  to register I get a spinning circle for 30 seconds then a message saying "Cant connect to this network at the moment. Try again later"

By the way my phone is set to 4g preferred.

Hi @Anonymous, it sounds like you have everything set up correctly. Are you in a 4G area at the moment and do you know any other Three users there who are picking up 4G?

Hi there, every time I enter these exact settings the APN disappears. If I half enter them it will be there but if I fully complete it will vanish.

Is this thread still up to date please and if so, what could be the issue please?

Hi there, does these settings disappear after you've restarted the phone? What type of phone are you using?

Hi and Welcome to the 3Community. Stay awhile and have a look around. If you haven't already registered, now is a good time to do so.
