Help with Unlocking

Hi there,

 

I have come across https://support.apple.com/hu-hu/HT204039, where it is claimed that Three Ireland supports Unlocking.

Could someone please assist me with the process?

I'm not a Three customer, located outside UK, so unfortunately I can't proceed with the unlock webapp.

 

Could you please help me out with PM the details of a Three mobile number?

I could go on with the form easily with that.

@Geri, when you purchased the phone were you a Three customer?

Nope, it is a second hand phone.

I bought it as I saw you do "Unlocking" as per Apple support.

@billbond4 Yap, it is locked by Three Ireland. This is how I ended up here.

Hmm you might be better trying a shop to get it unlocked.

Or ask the person who you bought the phone from to request the unlock code themselves.

1.3.1 Criteria for Three Ireland (Hutchison) Limited customers

Prepay customers

The device must be associated to a Three Ireland account and you‘ll need to have topped-up your prepay account by at least €130 before we will issue your unlock code.

This doesn’t include any bonus or promotional credit. Click here to request your unlock code.

Bill Pay customers

Your account must not be currently suspended by Collections or our Customer Protection Team.

If you have completed your minimum term period and not upgraded, we'll issue the unlock code, for the original/previous device, free of charge.

If you are still within your minimum term, you'll have to make a payment equivalent to the total of all the monthly charges still remaining for your agreed minimum term before we will issue your unlock code. Click here to request your unlock code.

@billbond4 Thanks for the informations, but I'd still prefer some options within direct support from Three instead.

@Geri there are a few unlocking conditions and @billbond has provided those. At the time of purchase our phones are added to an account and only the account holder can request the phone be unlocked. If the phone is prepay then the account must also be topped up by €130. We won't be able to unlock the phone you purchased unless the registered owner gets in touch and requests it.
