Well I'm very happy to report my phone has now been updated to 7.1 and yes it has
breathed new life into the S6, which by the way, I bought from a 3 mobile shop.
The changes were not new to me as I said I had this update on other devices but I
am particularly drawn to the verbal activity of turning power saving on and off and I am
definitely seeing about 25% increase in battery staying power.
I like the changes but the wait has been intolerable. Although I'm looking forward for
then NOTE 8 I suspect I'm going to switch to Apple now. I am noticing an increase in
invasive apps built into the android OS by Samsung and Google and it unnerves me.

The update is rolled out to all customers that are using are using the handset in which the update has been tested for.

No, I'm get that Joolz, but it doesn't answer the question of how a customer "obtains" a phone is relevant to when it is updated
